Using substitution:
$$ u = \frac{1}{r} $$
The orbit equation becomes:
$$ \frac{d^2 u}{d\theta^2} + u = -\frac{F(1/u)}{mL^2 u^2} $$
Using substitution:
$$ u = \frac{1}{r} $$
The orbit equation becomes:
$$ \frac{d^2 u}{d\theta^2} + u = -\frac{F(1/u)}{mL^2 u^2} $$
