Center of Mass

Definition

The center of mass is a point that represents the average position of the system.

Position of Center of Mass

$$ \vec{R} = \frac{\sum m_i \vec{r}_i}{\sum m_i} $$

Velocity of Center of Mass

$$ \vec{V} = \frac{d\vec{R}}{dt} $$
