Motion with Constant Acceleration

This is one of the most important cases in mechanics.

Basic Equations

$$ v = u + at $$

$$ x = ut + \frac{1}{2}at^2 $$

$$ v^2 = u^2 + 2ax $$

Where:

  • $u$ = initial velocity
  • $v$ = final velocity
  • $a$ = acceleration
  • $t$ = time
  • $x$ = displacement
