Choosing the Right Method

Different problems require different approaches.

When to Use Kinematics

  • Motion with known acceleration
  • No need to consider forces

When to Use Newton’s Laws

  • Forces are given
  • Acceleration is unknown

When to Use Energy Methods

  • Forces are complex
  • Only initial and final states matter

When to Use Momentum Conservation

  • Collisions
  • Explosions
  • Short-duration interactions
