A function relates one variable to another:

$$ y = f(x) $$

Types of Functions

• Linear: $y = mx + c$
• Quadratic: $y = ax^2 + bx + c$
• Trigonometric: $\sin x$, $\cos x$
• Exponential: $e^x$
