Problem:
A mass slides down an incline of angle $30^\circ$. Find acceleration (no friction).

Solution

Force along plane:

$$ F = mg \sin 30^\circ $$

$$ a = g \sin 30^\circ = 4.9 \, \text{m/s}^2 $$
