Worked Example

Problem:
A particle moves with:

$$ x = t^3 - 3t^2 $$

Find velocity and acceleration.

Solution

Velocity:

$$ v = \frac{dx}{dt} = 3t^2 - 6t $$

Acceleration:

$$ a = \frac{dv}{dt} = 6t - 6 $$
