Introduction

So far, we have studied the motion of a single particle. However, most real-world systems consist of multiple particles interacting with each other.

Examples include:

  • A moving car (made of many particles)
  • A system of planets
  • Colliding bodies

To analyze such systems, we introduce the concepts of linear momentum, center of mass, and conservation laws.
